This is a satellite picture I captured from "Google Earth". It's the isolated radar site I was stationed on in Iceland 40 years ago. I spent a year there in 1963-64 while I was in the Air Force. The astonishing thing is that it looks almost exactly like it did back then. All the same buildings, except it looks like they have built a new baseball diamond and gym. Google will take the picture a lot closer to earth, but then I wouldn't get the whole site in the picture. Yup, I was there exactly 365 days, when I came home I had a 6 months old son Jeffrey. Geeze, the quonset hut barracks were old-old back then and it looks like they are still using them.
Our friends Gary & Marietta at the old bush Stadium. This picture was taken after one of the last games played in this beloved ballpark.

This is an interesting picture of Gary & I at the end of the baseball season last year (2005). We are standing in the old Bush Stadium after a game, with the new stadium rising in the background. The old Bush has been torn down, and the Cardinals won the World Series in the new Bush Stadium the first year it was used. Imagine That!
Jason Mraz again with radio personality Vick Parcelli in the background. They were doing a private radio show from the Duck Room. Wasn't all that many people there --- it was like having a private mini concert.

Billy Idol and Connie again. One can't have enough Billy Idol pictures.
Here is my friend Jeanne at work on, probably, her 31st. Birthday. A couple of weeks ago Jeanne announced to the world that she is preggo for the first time. She was so happy that she announced about three days after she conceived. I think she takes a preggo test every day.....

New baby Elephant born at the Saint Louis Zoo, I think in August. It's a girl baby, but I can't remember her name. Maybe it's Connie Jean, probably!
Here Connie has stalked Chris Issak at the American Theater. That's sweet Mary Kraemer in the frame, but Mary is less agressive than some.

Connie again with Country Singer songwriter Shelby Lynne. We really like Shelby. This picture was taken outside the Duck Room next to her Tour bus. I didn't really talk to Shelby, just took the pictures, but we left to go home and were well down the block and I looked back and she waved goodby to me. I thought that was sweet. She put out an album about 5 years ago called "I am Shelby Lynne" which I think is a masterpiece. I listen to it at least five times a year.

At a Cardinals game in the new Bush Stadium, Gary and I, Connie & Marietta.

Lily Walks!

Tuesday, December 5, 2006

When Lily stays over, I wake up first and get her from the crib and put her in our bed. I should be in this frame, but I had no one else to take the picture. This is a precious time of the day. When she wakes up she isn't quite up to speed and is content to sit between us and visit...

This is brand new Lily 10/6/2005. Note her inked feet from the footprinting.

Here Connie has corralled Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer. He was in town a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't me that took the blurry pictures though. We attended his four hour seminar. The seminar was a fund raiser for Support Dogs, a charity we support.

The cops are probably there to peel Connie off of poor Cesar.

This shot is from the Holocaust museum in Cambodia. These skulls were taken from mass graves of the Pol Pot Regime
Here is Connie and Cathy on their visit to Savanna Ga. They didn't even ask if I wanted to go with them... I've never been to Savanna! They are standing in the exact spot where a Forest Gump scene was filmed. It was the scene where Forest is siting on a bench and he says,"life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get".

The thing I like best about babies is that once in a while they fall asleep on your belly... Here I am making ourselves late for a Ram's game while I enjoy the baby.
Sister Alice Kay & I.
Here is Lily, a recent graduate of my Popsicle eating school.
This old house was our love shack for 10 years. We loved this house, but we finally just ran out of space for all of our junk and had to get a larger place.

House is 111 years old. Note the antique toilet we kept proudly in our yard.
Connie & Lindsey Buckingham, of Fleetwood Mac.

With Beth Heart at the American Theater.
Connie and I with Billy Idol in KC... He was a real nice guy. He is thoroughly into being Billy Idol. He enjoys himself onstage and off....
Here are two pictures of Jason Mraz at the Duck Room. Darla got us tickets for a private radio broadcast. He was a nice guy.

Can't resist more horse pictures. Here's one with Jeffrey.

See, I got friends....
